DEPOSITS AND FINAL PAYMENTS

A 25% deposit is required to reserve a yacht if the deposit is made more than six months before departure. Any deposit made within six months of your charter date requires a 50% deposit to reserve a yacht. The balance is due on the date outlined in your contract, which is normally 60 days prior to departure.

Charter Sailing Unlimited will accept a personal check, VISA or MasterCard for payment of the deposit. Payment by personal check is preferred for the 50% balance due. Should a VISA or MasterCard be used for the balance payment there will be a 3% convenience fee added to the amount due.

Due to the stringent cancellation policies of the charter industry, Charter Sailing Unlimited will only accept VISA or MasterCard charges for deposits and final payment with a signed Credit Card Authorization and Trip Insurance Waiver.

 

TWO ESSENTIAL ON-LINE DOCUMENTS FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE

The following are two essential documents you'll need to start the booking process. Both of these document need to be faxed to Charter Sailing Unlimited at 317-745-1923.

 

CREDIT CARD AUTHORIZATION FORM

If you are using a VISA or MasterCard for the deposit or final payment of your charter fee, it is necessary that we have a copy on file of a signed Credit Card Authorization Form. After you have printed out and completed this document please fax it to Charter Sailing Unlimited.

 

TRIP INSURANCE WAIVER

It's not mandatory that you purchase Travel Guard Trip Insurance from us, but it is necessary that we have a copy on file of a signed Trip Insurance Waiver. After you have printed out and completed this document please fax it to Charter Sailing Unlimited within 3 days of receiving your Charter Agreement.

 

TRAVEL GUARD INSURANCE PLANS

Charter Sailing Unlimited recommends that you protect your vacation investment by purchasing one of the Travel Guard Trip Insurance plans we offer here on-line. Click on the Travel Guard logo to learn more about the comprehensive insurance coverage and rates available.

It's recommended that you use the Online Application Forms to purchase your insurance coverage. If you are uncomfortable using the link provided above, Charter Sailing Unlimited will be happy to mail you hard copies of the policies.

The cost of the Travel Guard Trip Insurance policies offered on my website is based on a decision made by you as to which policy offers the best coverage for the budget you set. The four main polices are: ProtectAssist, Travel Guard Essential Expanded, Cruise Tour & Travel, and Travel Guard Essential. Each of the four policies listed offer different benefits and coverage, from basic to all encompassing. Other elements that come into play when costing out a policy are how much in dollars expense for the cost of your trip do you want to cover, and the ages of those insured.

To receive a quote on the cost of the Travel Guard Trip Insurance, click on the Travel Guard Logo and fill-in the State/Province of Residence, then hit Continue. At this point you can review what each policy offers and then go to the Price Compare Tool at the top of the page and hit Compare. There you will enter your travel dates, the amount of trip expense you'll want to cover for each person in your party, and their ages. Then hit Get Quote, the tool will show you a cost comparison for the four policies. After selecting the policy that works best you'll have the option to purchase it directly from the site.

It may sound complicated, but it's not. By the way, you are not required to purchase trip insurance from me, but I highly recommend you look into it. The most difficult thing for me as a broker in this business is when a client calls with a problem and I'm not in position to help.

CONFIRMATION OF CHARTER YACHT RESERVATION

To receive confirmation of your charter yacht reservation it is necessary that you fax a copy of the signed Charter Agreement along with your Trip Insurance Waiver to Charter Sailing Unlimited within three days of receipt.

Once a copy of your signed Charter Agreement, Trip Insurance Waiver, and your Deposit Check, or signed Credit Card Authorization are in our office, the yacht's clearing house will issue a confirmation number for the yacht on the dates outlined in your Charter Agreement.

It's important we have a good clean copy of the Charter Agreement to send to your Captain for his signature, so it's also necessary that you mail the hard copy to Charter Sailing Unlimited at your earliest convenience.

 

CHARTER INFORMATION SHEETS

You will be required to complete one of these forms for each person in your charter party. These forms provide important information the crew needs to help to insure a smooth arrival and an uninterrupted cruise. Due to new Homeland Security regulations, it is now mandatory that you provide the following information; the full name of passenger as shown on their Passport, date of birth, nationality, Passport or Visa number with place of issue and date of expiration.

 

PREFERENCE SHEET

This form gives you an opportunity to let the crew know exactly what you want. If filled out properly it will help the crew plan for the type of meals, beverages, and activities you enjoy. The more descriptive you are the better the crew can prepare for you. If possible, please try to condense your preference information to this one Preference Sheet for your entire charter party.
